Pastor, Randy Simmons

Our Pastor, Rev. Randy Simmons the youngest of ten children, was born to the late Mrs. Thelma Mack Simmons Cawley, of Ridgeville, South Carolina. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at an early age in his life. He graduated from Harleyville Ridgeville High School of Dorchester, SC in May 1981. Pastor Simmons enrolled in management training classes with his employer and it has enabled him to have over 29 years of management experience.

On August 30,1986, Pastor Simmons & First Lady Arnella were united in holy matrimony. They have been blessed with three beautiful daughters: Shida, Shayla and Sharanda.

In April 1987 he recommitted himself to the Lord and received the power of the Holy Ghost, at the age of 24 and started a new walk with the Lord. From that point, his plans and life changed forever by the spirit of God. He was ordained as a deacon in 1995, at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church and served as chairmen for many years. His mother as well as many others had prophesied that he would one day be a great man of God who would preach God's holy word with power. Pastor Simmons did not believe what had been spoken. However, God was equipping him with the word and pulling his heart to preach the gospel, for many years Pastor Simmons ran from the calling that was upon his life. He then left the state of SC in 2002 and ran to the state of Virginia but God was calling him to the prophetic ministry from the book of Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." He finally answered the call to the prophetic ministry in March 2006 and his initial sermon was on June 25, 2006 taken from the book of Matt. 14:22-33 entitled, "Lord save me". He was licensed into the ministry by Pastor, Rev. Henry Ferrell, Vice Moderator of the Lovely Hill Baptist Association. Rev. Randy Simmons was ordained in May 2009 and was called to Pastor the Jerusalem Baptist Church in August 2009, He then was installed as Pastor on September 13, 2009.

Pastor Simmons has been ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 9 years. He walks in a powerful prophetic anointing. This mighty man of God expounds and teaches the word of God with simplicity, allowing everyone to understand as he preaches and prophesies. He strongly believes in the power of prayer and in the laying on of the hands to bring about the working of miracles, healings, and deliverance from satanic bondages in the lives of God's people. Whereas Jerusalem is being blessed with new members, spiritual growth and community outreach. Pastor Simmons focus and purpose is to fulfill the mandate that God has placed upon his life, and to see the vision given to him by Jesus Christ. Pastor Simmons is also a firm believer in living holy before God, that our everyday lives should be an example of the word of God. Pastor, Rev. Randy Simmons; is a man of God who has truly been called, anointed and appointed for such a time as this.
